Drafting

The Vampire doesn't draft.

Most platforms don't recognize a Vampire and require the Vampire to draft. If your platforms lets you set the Vampire's picks ahead of time, do that. If the Vampire has to draft live, try to make a list of players that no one in the leauge would draft. Do this before the draft starts, so the league can make sure no players will be taken by mistake. If the draft requires a specific number of positions to be drafted, keep that in mind. Setting the Vampire on one of the turns may be helpful.

After the draft completes, the Vampire will select their team. This is usually entered via commissioner tools.

Stealing

The Vampire can steal a player upon a win.

The Vampire will send a trade for a starting player that week. The Vampire will send a player of the same position that the Vampire started that week.

This trade is often a high draft capital player for an undrafted guy. If the platform allows it, the commissioner can send $25 of FAAB to help compensate.

After stealing a player, the Vampire loses Waiver Priority on that position.

Waivers

The Vampire has Waiver Priority.

The commissioner will add players on Tuesday. If a game is played later than Monday, the Vampire should finish requesting player adds just after the last game played that week.

FAAB waivers will run Wednesday through Saturday. Sunday and Monday are FA days. The Vampire can participate.

Playoffs

The Vampire is guaranteed a playoff berth.

Vampire is a qualification for seeding. If your league uses hybrid playoff berth qualifications, it could look like top 4 by record, next 3 by points, and a Vampire. Move the Vampire's seed up if the Vampire's team surpasses the qualifications of the other teams.

Everyone is guaranteed a playoff berth.

Use whatever seeding you'd like.

The Vampire won't have Waiver Priority and can't steal during the playoffs.

Hopefully the Vampire has acquired the team that can win it all.

Misc

14 Teams

With 14 Teams, everyone will play in a single round robin. The Vampire will play 13 different opponents over 13 weeks of the fantasy regular season.

Until the NFL stops putting byes on week 14, week 14 should not be used for fantasy playoffs. Instead this will be a regular season week were the Vampire can't steal.

13 Players - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST or K, 5 Bench, Optional IR

1 QB feels tougher with 14 teams instead of 12 especially with the Vampire getting priority to stream QBs.

DSTs and Kickers give the Vampire a greater opportunity to stream players to find wins. This also tightens the available roster spots on other teams.

IR spots are like psuedo-bench spots for other teams. A tight bench to keep the waiver wire more active.

Half PPR

Half PPR is just balanced.

8 Teams

With 8 Teams, everyone will play in a double round robin. The Vampire will twice play 7 different opponents over 14 weeks of the fantasy regular season.

24 Players - 2 QB, 3 RB, 3 WR, 2 TE, 3 Flex, 1 Kicker, 1 DST, 9 Bench, Optional IR

PPR

Full PPR will raise the scoring floor of the players initially available to the Vampire.

Alternative: Half PPR with Half Point per First Down (0.25 per Passing FD)
